Job Share
Where to find it: Menu Bar - Jobs - Share
The job you would like to share contains the button "Share". Click on this button and a drop-down menu will open up.

LinkedIn and Twitter
If you would like to share this job via LinkedIn or Twitter, you need to be connected to your social network account
A new window will open up as soon as you click on your preferred network to login. Enter a personal message and click the button "Share". The job and your message are now shared on your social network.

If "LinkedIn" or "Twitter" is unavailable in your drop-down menu, the sharing function has been deactivated by an admin. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your internal Employee Referrals project team.
Sharing a job on Facebook works differently from the social networks mentioned above.
Click the "Share" button and choose "Facebook". A new Facebook window will pop up. If you are already logged in to your private Facebook account within the same browser, you will be forwarded immediately to the share view.
If you are not logged in, you will be asked to enter your login data.
Next, you can customize your job share by choosing where you would like to share the job (on your timeline, on a friend’s timeline, in a group, in an event or in a private message).
To finalize the process, click the button "Post to Facebook".

Sharing a job on XING works in a similar way to Facebook.
Click the "Share" button and choose "XING". A new XING window will pop up. If you are already logged in to your private XING account within the same browser, you will be forwarded immediately to the share view.
If you are not logged in, you will be asked to enter your login data.
Next, you can customize your job share by choosing where you would like to share the job (on your timeline or in a private message - you can send your private message to up to 10 recipients at the same time) and entering a personal message.
To finalize the process, click the button "Share".

You can share jobs on WhatsApp from our mobile app and, if activated, from the browser app WhatsApp Web.
Click the "Share" button and choose "WhatsApp". A new window will pop up and you can enter a personal message or proceed with the default text. Click "Send" and you will be forwarded to WhatsApp where you can select who you wish to send this job to.

Browser and WeChat app
To share a job via WeChat, please download the app via Apple Store or Google Play.
Click on the "Share" button and choose "WeChat". A new window will pop up with a QR code. Open the WeChat app on your mobile phone and scan the QR code.
As soon as the app has scanned the QR code, the job will be displayed on your mobile phone. Next, click on the three dots (top right corner) and choose how you want to share the job in WeChat.
You can add a personal note before sharing the job.

My Referrals and WeChat app
To share a job via WeChat, please download the app via Apple Store or Google Play.
Click on the "Share" button and choose "WeChat". A new window will pop up where you can:
- Copy the share link and
- Click the button "Open WeChat".
Select from your contacts the person you would like to send the job link to.
Paste the copied job link into the message and the job is ready to share.

Sharing a job via email is similar to sharing a job on LinkedIn and Facebook.
Go to the job you would like to share and click the button "Share" and choose "Email". A new window will pop up where you can edit the default text. Click the button "Next" and you will be forwarded automatically to your default email program. Now you can share the job with any recipient.

Email forwarding does not open or opens the wrong program
If you get forwarded to the wrong email program, you can easily change your default email program in your browser settings.
Chrome
- Before you start with changing your settings, close the browser tab in which Gmail is open.
- Open your Chrome browser or a new tab and paste chrome://settings/handlers.
- Activate "Do not allow any site to handle protocols" by clicking on it.
- Open Gmail and on the right side of the address bar you will see two overlapping diamonds.
- Click on these diamonds and a new window will pop up. Click "Allow" to choose Gmail as your mailto "Handler". Click "Done" to save your changes.
- To make sure your changes have been successful, go back to chrome://settings/handlers and check if Gmail was added as a "Handler".
Firefox
- Open your Firefox browser and go to the menu button (top right) and choose "Options".
- Type "mailto" in your search bar and click on the little arrow in the search results in the column "Action" at "mailto".
- A drop-down menu will appear where you can choose your preferred email program.
Outlook
- Go to the control panel of your laptop or computer and choose "Internet options".
- Next choose "Programs", go to "Internet programs" and click the button "Set programs".
- A new window will pop-up where you can click on the link "Set your default programs".
- Under "Choose default apps" click below "Email" on the tile of the currently stored email program and a drop-down menu will appear.
- Scroll down until so you see "Outlook". To add "Outlook" as a "Handler" click on it.
Safari
- Open "Mail" from the applications folder, dock or launchpad.
- Next, choose "Preferences" from the "Mail" menu.
- Click the "General" button and choose the default email application from the "Default email reader" pop-up menu.
Link
This function gives you the opportunity to share the job on a network that has not yet been mentioned above. In the new pop-up window, you will see a link that you can "Copy" easily.
