Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Where to find it: Click on your name (top right) - My Settings - Security.
To better protect your Employee Referrals account, we offer "Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)" as an additional security feature in addition to your chosen password. You can easily activate MFA for your Employee Referrals account under "My Settings" - "Security".
To activate the MFA you will need an "Authenticator App". This app generates number codes to enter in addition to your chosen password. You can download an authenticator app in your App Store/Play Store.
Next, click on the button "Enable", open your authenticator app and scan the QR code using your smartphone. The app generates a numeric code you can enter in the section provided in your Employee Referrals account.
As soon as you click on "Submit" you will receive a message notifying you that MFA has been activated successfully.
FAQs
Which authenticator app may I use/am I allowed to use?
An example of the authenticator app is "Google Authenticator". However, you can use any other authenticator app that generates "soft tokens". To be sure you are using the right authenticator app, please contact your internal IT department.
What can I do if my smartphone gets lost/stolen with MFA being activated?
If you are no longer in possession of your smartphone and/or no longer have access to the authenticator app, please contact your HR department. An Employee Referrals admin will be able to turn off your MFA settings.
What else is MFA used for once activated, in addition to the login?
If you would like to change your password and your MFA is activated, the password change will also require entering a number code (generated by your authenticator app).
