Advanced Branding
Where to find: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding
It is important that your referral program is in line with your company branding. In Employee Referrals, you can create different job headers for your jobs, add different logos, and individual personal messages.
Administrators are able to create and edit branding elements. As soon as branding has been successfully created, this branding is visible when you create a new job.
Edit your default branding
Where to find: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Job Advert
In each Employee Referrals Account, the default branding can be edited. Log in to your Employee Referrals Account, click on your name top right, and a drop-down menu will appear. Go to "Account Preferences" next to "Company Branding", and under "Job Advert" you will see the default branding.
To edit this, please click the button "Edit". The name "Default Branding" cannot be changed and you will not be able to delete this branding.
Customize job ad header
Visible with every job are the company name, the address of the company’s homepage, and the job header. You can upload the job ad header here and confirm your upload by clicking "Crop Image".
At the top of the page, there is a header that shows the company logo and can be colour customized. You can also change the background colour of the job description to a colour different from the header colour.
Edit personal message
Add a text suggestion for when your Talent Scouts share a job via email or WhatsApp here.
First, choose the language you need and next, click on the little arrow next to "Email" or "WhatsApp" and the text editor will appear. Now you're ready to enter text via "copy and paste" or simply by typing.
If you're happy with our default message, no changes are needed.
Add social media branding
To personalize your job share, please upload a logo and enter a short company description (max. 155 characters) here. As soon as a Talent Scout shares a job in one of his/her social media accounts, both will be visible. Read more if you need any assistance in uploading your logo.
Optional, you can upload a bigger picture which will be visible with a job share instead of the logo. This works for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Xing.
When you have finished making changes, click the button "Save Changes".
Create new branding
Where to find: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Job Advert
To create a new branding, log in to your Employee Referrals Account, click on your name in the top right, and a drop-down menu will appear. Go to "Account Preferences" next to "Company Branding", and under "Job Advert" you will see the button "+ New Branding".
Click the button and a new window will pop up, where you can enter the name for the new branding. This name of the new branding will be visible in a drop-down menu when you create a new job. Confirm the name by clicking the button "Add".
Customize job ad header

Delete branding
Where to find: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Job Advert - next to "Edit"
If you click on the three little dots at the branding name, next to "Edit", you can delete the job branding. A new window will pop up to confirm the final deletion.
As soon as you delete a branding which is in use at an active job, it will be automatically replaced by the default branding.
The default branding can´t be deleted.
Duplicate Branding
Where to find: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Job Advert - next to "Edit"
If you click on the three little dots at the branding name, next to "Edit", you can clone the job branding. By using the clone feature, you can easily create similar designs.
Select branding for jobs
In the edit mode for a new job, you can choose at "Branding", by means of a drop down menu created by an Administrator. Read more to learn how to create a new job in Employee Referrals.
The feature "Branding" will not be visible if no additional branding has been created by an Administrator and the default branding will be used automatically.
If no further Branding has been created by you or another Administrator, the "Branding" field will not be visible at the job creation, since the Standard Branding will automatically be selected.
A tip for uploading a logo
Where to find: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Job Advert
In the event that you have problems in uploading your company logo, try the following:
- Open the logo in an image editing program (e.g. IrfanView).
- Choose the function "Canvas size" (the name for the function in IrfanView). The name of the function will depend on the type of image editing program you are using.
- Change the canvas dimension in pixels. The result should be a square version of your company logo (min. 200 x 200 pixel).
- Choose the canvas color (mostly white).
- Save your changes.
- After completing these steps, you should have no problem when uploading your company logo.

Customizable registration page
Where to find it: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Registration Page
Create your registration page for your Talent Scouts and customize it according to your company guidelines and corporate identity.
Once the registration link has been activated and a Talent Scout clicks on it, they will automatically be forwarded to your registration page to create a new account. To set up your registration page, go to your "Account Preferences" - "Branding" - "Registration Page".
The following elements can be changed or uploaded according your company designs:
- Company logo
- Background image (2160 x 705 px)
- Headline
- Welcome text
A tip for the background image of your registration page
Different screen sizes (on desktop) influence how much of your uploaded background image will be visible for your Talent Scout. Therefore we recommend not to use pictures with people or text.
If a person or text is mandatory on the background image of your registration page, please find below a graphic which shows you a "safe area" for such items.

As there are many different screen sizes on the market, we can't give a 100% guarantee of the "safe area".
Color theme
Where to find it: Click on your Name (top right) - Account Preferences - Company Branding - Color Theme
As an Administrator, you can easily personalize your Employee Referrals company account by using the "Color Theme" feature. Choose one of our predefined color themes or select "Custom Theme" and enter the color codes of your company.
The following elements of your platform will be changed:
- Sidebar Background
- Sidebar Text Color
- Button / Active Item (in emails as well)
- Button Text (in emails as well)
Please note!
Please be aware that all users will also see your selected color theme.
Predefined color themes
You can choose from four predefined color themes:
- Default Theme
- Indigo Bunting
- Green Peacock
- Bald Eagle
When you choose a color theme, a preview of what your company platform will be provided. After clicking on the button "Save Changes", the new color theme will be applied and visible for all other users as well.
Create your custom theme
The following elements of your Employee Referrals platform can be changed by entering the "Hex Color Codes" of your company colors:
- Sidebar Background
- Sidebar Text Color
- Button / Active Item (in emails as well)
- Button Text (in emails as well)
Enter your "Hex Color Codes" into the four fields and confirm your changes by clicking on the button "Save Changes".
